Breakfast at the Featherbed Railroad

We're thrilled about serving breakfast at the Featherbed Railroad. We cook breakfast using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients such as eggs from free-range chickens and wonderful, in-season ingredients from local organic growers.

We even grow our own herbs and a few pears and walnuts. Plus we make our own sausage.
With the abundance that Lake County farmers provide, it's such a pleasure to bring these wonderful fruits and vegetables and eggs to the table. Local, organic and fresh ingredients are part of every day and we even bake most of our own breads, muffins and scones.
No morning is complete without coffee and ours is sustainably-grown and 100% organic thanks to the folks at the Thanksgiving Coffee Company in Fort Bragg.

Many of our guests are experiencing their first stay at a bed and breakfast when they stay with us and may not be enthused about the idea of sharing one big table with people they haven't made friends with just yet. Our dining room is set-up so each couple gets their own individual table with a variety of views.
Sometimes we even have specials, such as our Veteran's Day (Red, White & Blueberry!) heart-shaped Belgian waffles. We're happy to accommodate your special dietary needs with advance notice.
